Hey, Emacs, we're -*-Text-*- mode!

This directory contains the "ftape" package, a kernel device driver for
Linux to drive floppy tape devices.

Please refer to the file "INSTALL" for quick installation instructions
and instructions how to use the manual under the "./Doc/"
subdirectory.

Recent versions of ftape can be obtained from

ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/kernel/tapes/

or from the ftape home page

http://www-math.math.rwth-aachen.de/~LBFM/claus/ftape/

Instructions how to obtain support and how to submit bug reports are
contained in the manual in the "Reporting bugs" chapter. The file
"INSTALL" contains instructions how to read the HTML and INFO versions
of the manual (to be found in `./Doc/html/' and `./Doc/info/') and
installation instructions for a standard setup.

The ftape home page

http://www-math.math.rwth-aachen.de/~LBFM/claus/ftape/

also contains some useful links to related software and documentation.

Hints about what might also be needed to get things running can be
found in the `Requirements' section of the `Installation' chapter of
the manual.

The file `Ftape-FAQ' contains a preliminary collection of "Frequently
Asked Questions".

Please read the file "BUGS" for information about currently known
bugs.
